Staycations ... come to the Lakes !!!

We are where we are, and like it or not travelling abroad is fraught with difficulties... why not just accept that we have to holiday in this country this year and make the most of it ?? The Lake District offers fabulous scenery, loads to do, great places to eat and drink and shops galore to wander in and browse... imagine that, you couldn't a couple of months ago !?!?

You can even treat yourselves to some things and get the real gratitude from shopkeepers that do really appreciate you supporting the local economy.

We are hopeful that once you've enjoyed your holidays here this year that you might be tempted back another year.... the weather is doing its best to persuade you at the moment.... the hardened Lake District lovers know it sometimes rains a little, just enough to keep the Lakes topped up ????

You can always spend some of your time ticking off a few Wainwrights and using one of our Pocket Books to record them in... we are up to our 51st out of 214.... long way to go !! The picture above is Glendinning Dodd... lovely afternoon off work, not getting many at the moment but make the most of them when we do.
