Well... July is here and we are planning Christmas at Alternative !!! But it's all done in the background not really discussed....we are still making time for walking in our beautiful location, cover picture is fabulous view over Ullswater and the best view of me (LOL).... we are also focusing on the fact that the sun is out and School Holidays are here, Scotland broke up for theirs a couple of weeks ago and we are getting a lot of the lovely Scottish accents in the shop, soon to be joined by the sound of Geordies, Scousers and Mancunians... love them all.... obviously all Welcome (?!?) but being in the North of England there is a high proportion of those accents. It has been nice to see returning visitors from across the globe as well, it's great to chat with people from other countries, especially when we hear they are here seeing friends and family not seen for 2/3 years. We hope everyone enjoys seeing the range of products we have on offer this season, all the team working hard to show everything off as well as possible, and to provide a warm, friendly service... hope we succeed on all aspects ?? The Keswick Convention starts on Saturday which fills the town with 1000's of people from around the country/world, there's always a great atmosphere when the town is busy.... just a word of advice, if food/drink important to you, book up restaurants so you're not either disappointed or struggle to get in anywhere !?
